Math Scheduling Information
Below are the math course pathways at SMS and entry points for acceleration.
Our math team consistently reviews multiple data points including IXL scores, STAR scores, BIG ideas assessments, and teacher recommendations based on students' work habits and math scores in class assessments. This data is utilized to create our WIN groups for enrichment and student support.
Should you seek to enroll your child in an academic level that is higher than what has been advised, you may do so by completing an Academic Advising Form. This form does not prevent the student from pursuing a higher level. It serves to ensure clear communication of information between school and home regarding course selection. All Academic Advising Forms must be received by your child’s school counselor by Friday, April 11th, 2025. This deadline ensures the appropriate time needed for building a schedule for all students.
